This webinar, moderated by Joe Anselmo from Aviation Week, will examine the impact of COVID-19 on the supply chain. This discussion will begin with an analysis of the current situation reflecting the Tier-1/OEM viewpoint. From there, the changes concerning supply chain, supplier management and effect on industry consolidation, for the short-middle and long term perspectives will be discussed. Panelists from Héroux-Devtek and Pratt & Whitney Canada will be joined by a Managing Director from Patriot Industrial Partners (an aerospace and defense advisory firm) and a Senior Business Editor from Aviation Week.

Speakers

Joe Anselmo is Editorial Director of the Aviation Week Network and has been Editor-in-Chief of Aviation Week & Space Technology since 2013. He directs a team of more than two-dozen aerospace journalists across North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific.

Based in Washington, D.C., Michael Bruno is Aviation Week Network’s Senior Business Editor and Community and Conference Content Manager. He covers aviation, aerospace and defense businesses, their supply chains and related issues.

Dimitrios (“Jim”) Hamakiotis was appointed Vice President, Supply Management, Pratt & Whitney Canada, in January 2018. He is responsible for the supply chain delivery, quality and cost assurance needed to meet production and spares commitments across P&WC.

Alexandre Verdon joined Héroux-Devtek in February 2020. During the peak of the pandemic outbreak, Alexandre supported Héroux-Devtek’s procurement team from Canada, USA, UK and Spain, in assessing and mitigating the supply chain risks to ensure the continuity of operations.

Alex Krutz is the Managing Director of Patriot Industrial Partners, an Aerospace and Defense advisory firm that elevates business performance by focusing on manufacturing strategy, value creation and business transformation. He has been a consultant for Boeing, Tier 1’s and Tier 2’s on operational turnarounds and for private equity groups on value creation planning and execution.
