Aéro Montréal and McCarter & English are offering a two-day training on the US market. The training will be provided by Mr. Daniel J. Kelly and Mr. Zack Hadzismajlovic, both partners at McCarter & English.

The two-day training will be held at Aéro Montréal offices in downtown Montréal on November 4-5, 2019 and will cover the basics of accessing the US market and doing business with the US government, regulations, export control, foreign investment in the US, intellectual property, cybersecurity obligations, and general compliance.

Lunch is included. This activity gives you 15 hours eligible for continuing education at the OIQ. 

DAY 1 GENERAL TOPICS

Basic introduction to the Regulations Governing U.S. Federal Procurement – the Federal Acquisition Regulation – With Emphasis on Rules Addressing (1) Ethics and Eligibility for Contracts; (2) Competitive Bidding Requirements; (3) Types of Contract Vehicles; (4) Subcontracting; (5) Socio-Economic Obligations; and (5) Commercial Item Acquisition.

Doing Business with the Federal Government as a Canadian Company through the CCC, as a Prime, and as a Subcontractor or Vendor; Including Roadblocks to Entry as a Result of Domestic Preference Rules
