Mr. Talwar holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering and in Computer Science; and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management and Engineering Mechanics. Mr. Talwar has thirty five years of experience in the Boeing Company in areas of structural design and analysis, material processing and manufacturing, technology management, integration and business development. Currently, Mr. Talwar is a Technology Director for managing Boeing research and technology research portfolio in the Western Hemisphere including Canada. Earlier Mr. Talwar was managing research in the Middle East including UAE, Qatar and Turkey. Previously, Mr. Talwar was a Chief Engineer working as a Technology Integrator in the Global Technology Operations area of Boeing Research and Technology. Recently Mr. Talwar was also a business development manager in the Boeing Research and Technology. Previously Mr. Talwar was also a Technology Integrator in the Boeing – Phantom Works, AeroStructure, Manufacturing and Support Technologies group. Mr. Talwar was also a manager in the Unitized Metallic Processes group. The Unitized Metallic Processes group focuses on technologies like Friction Stir Welding, Superplastic Forming, Aluminum and Titanium Castings and Grid-Lock Assemblies. Mr. Talwar led Boeing enterprise team on development of the friction stir welding technology. Mr. Talwar also led an industry wide program on this technology as part of the “Next Generation Manufacturing Technology Initiative” program. Mr. Talwar was the program manager of Air Force funded, aerospace industry consortium program under “Metals Affordability Initiative” titled – “Friction Stir Welding of Affordable Lightweight Assemblies”. Mr. Talwar was also the manager of the Alcoa/AF funded “Advanced Aluminum Aerostructure Initiative” (A3I) program. The goal of this program is to implement low cost design, materials, and manufacturing technologies on Boeing’s C-17 and J-UCAS airframes. Mr. Talwar was the program manager of the Navy funded J-UCAS Structural Technology demonstration program. Mr. Talwar is also led several Industrial Participation Projects for Transfer for Advanced Metals Technology to several foreign countries. Mr. Talwar is a registered professional engineer in the State of California.
