Gilles Poulin joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 1998. Employed for nine years by the Fonds, he participated in many business investment transactions and represented the Fonds on 15 boards. He returned to the Fonds network as Senior Investment Director in 2010 to manage a team of professionals. Mr. Poulin has over 25 years of experience in financing, business sales and acquisitions, investments and management as an institutional investor in times of difficulty, growth and corporate challenges. During his career, he worked for CIBC Bank and National Bank of Canada in financing public and private companies, as well as for the international firm KPMG, where he was a member of the mergers and acquisitions team. Mr. Poulin earned a bachelor's degree in finance from UQÀM, an MBA from HEC Montréal and the Governance Certification ASC from Université Laval.
