Back to ListThe Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development, through the Consulate General of Canada in São Paulo and the Canadian Space Agency, are proud to invite you to participate in the “Canadian Space Technology Mission to Brazil”, which will take place from March, 16th until 18th, 2014, in São José dos Campos, Brazil.
Brazil and Canada have established a high-level dialogue on Space collaboration, engaging at government, academic and business levels, to respond to Brazil’s demand for space-related technology and expertise to address the challenges of border and maritime surveillance, telecommunications, natural disaster prevention and response, and rainforest conservation, among others.
The mission will comprise briefings, focused discussion panels, networking events with the local aerospace community, visits to key Space Research Centers, and a one-on-one business-to-business session. Please see attached preliminary program for more details.
This mission will provide you with a unique opportunity to establish a personal relationship with key Brazilian academic and/or business counterparts, which is essential to doing business in Brazil and will enable further collaboration in the near future.
Information regarding logistics of the event will be provided shortly, but we strongly suggest all interested/potential participants immediately obtain a Brazilian visa at the nearest Brazilian Embassy or Consulate in Canada.
If you are interested in participating in this Canadian mission, we kindly request that you fill out the form by clicking here and submit it to thais.aun@international.gc.ca by January 30th.
For further information, please contact your Aerospace Trade Commissioner in São Paulo, Mr. Alex Krell, by email alex.krell@international.gc.ca or by phone +55-11-5509-4325 at any time.
We look forward to seeing you in Brazil in March!
