Robert (Robb) Wight became Director General of Major Projects in the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) in 2012. His responsibilities include the acquisition and  delivery of large vessels, helicopters, air-cushioned vehicles, and small vessels.
Prior to this, he was Director General of Integrated Technical Services for over 4 years at CCG, where he was responsible for the execution of CCG’s ship and shore-based assets maintenance program.
Mr. Wight joined the Canadian Coast Guard in 2001 as an engineer in CCG’s Integrated Technical Services section, working on various projects as both an engineer and Director until 2008.
Mr. Wight is a graduate of the University of Waterloo, holding a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical
Engineering as well as a Master of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.
