Ms. Pitre was Director, Governmental Affairs at Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED) from 2013 to 2017. CED, through its main program, helps support entrepreneurship, business performance, regional mobilization and investment in the regions while providing support for economic activity in Quebec communities on an ad hoc basis to stabilize or strengthen their economies.

Ms. Pitre joined CED in 2006. She was previously responsible for the Industrial and Regional Benefits team within CED before becoming Director in 2013.

In previously held positions at other federal government departments, she worked on regional economic development and workforce issues.

Ms. Pitre holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She completed her Master’s Degree studies in Economics at McGill University.
