Boeing, L-3 Complete Final Phase of CF-18 Modernization for RCAF

MIRABEL, Canada, February 20, 2014 – Boeing [NYSE: BA] and L-3 MAS have completed the last scheduled phase of the CF-18 Incremental Modernization Program, ensuring that the avionics systems on the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) fighter jets remain operationally relevant and interoperable with Canada’s allies.

Boeing had previously subcontracted L-3 MAS to lead the first two phases of the modernization program and this final phase, an upgrade to the aircraft’s defensive electronic warfare system, was completed at Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake in Alberta.
