Aéro Montréal, in collaboration with Emploi-Québec, will be holding Vitrines 2020 – the aerospace industry’s one-of-a-kind public event on the themes of the next generation of workers and careers – during International Aerospace Week-Montréal.
Vitrines 2020 will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2020, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at École des métiers de l'aérospatiale de Montréal (EMAM), in honour of the school’s 25th anniversary. EMAM will also hosting an Open House to mark the occasion.
EMAM is the first “factory-school” in Canada and the only one in the world to be part of a public school system: https://ecole-metiers-aerospatiale.csdm.ca/
The “factory” section replicates, in all aspects, the work environment of a company, including industry safety standards and rules.
On the program of Vitrines 2020: a job fair bringing together many companies from the aerospace industry that are in a hiring mode; a visit to the school’s “factory” section; as well as free public conferences and workshops.
This event is aimed at families, schoolchildren and students, job seekers, people considering a career change, and all aerospace enthusiasts!
Aerospace is an innovation driver in Québec and offers numerous career opportunities. It is in dire need of skilled labour to fill more than 37,000 jobs by 2028.
