ADDEV Materials continues its development in North America with the acquisition of PROFOM in Montréal

PROFOM, based in Montreal Canada, has joined ADDEV Materials, with headquarters in Lyon France, specialized in the value-added transformation of high performance materials for diverse industries.

PROFOM has developed, over more than 30 years, an enviable expertise in the transformation of attachment tapes, adhesives and adhesive coated foams providing solutions for assembly, sealing and attachment issues in these three principal markets: Automotive, Construction and industrial. An excellent opportunity for ADDEV Materials to reinforce it’s North American positioning in these strategic markets through an offer of solution provider, dedicated to the industry leaders in these sectors.

Profom has equally developed strong partnerships with strategic industry suppliers such as 3M and Saint-Gobain, while building industrial know how based on these 4 axes:

  • Skiving: Cutting of foams, tailored thicknesses;
  • Laminating: Application of pressure sensitive adhesives to various foams;
  • Slitting & Spooling: Roll slitting and spooling of single and double-sided tapes;
  • Die cutting: Rotary and flatbed cutting of parts, tailored dimensions.

In order to succeed in this project and develop commercial and industrial synergies, ADDEV Materials is relying on the competencies of the operational teams in place and the strong relationships built with customers and suppliers.

« This acquisition falls directly into our strategy of Value Added Converting in North America and also gives us the opportunity to provide local made to measure solutions for the Aerospace & Defence sectors in the heart of Montreal; a strategic platform for us to service the aeronautics market»

Pascal NADOBNY, President ADDEV Materials.
