Aéro Montréal is organizing the second edition of a case study competition for Québec students, this time on aircraft recycling. Presentations by the finalists (publicly accessible) will take place on Saturday, October 1, 2016, during an open house event at the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) in Montréal as part of International Civil Aviation Week organized by Aéroports de Montréal, Aéro Montréal, the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montréal and Montréal International.

This competition will focus on a theme that is critical to the future of the global aerospace industry: aircraft recycling. Students from the engineering and business faculties will be asked to develop a sustainable and profitable solution for recovering 100% of the parts of an end-of-life aircraft, here in Québec. The projects will be presented to a jury which will determine a winner based on a format similar to the TV show “Dragon’s Den” (“Dans l’œil du Dragon” on French TV). The presentations may be made in French or in English.
