Aéro Montréal, in collaboration with the Green Aerospace Research and Development Network (GARDN), has presented the second edition of the Global Supply Chain Summit - Aerospace which took place on September 27 and 28 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
With this year’s theme of the sustainable development of the supply chain, the Summit broached topics such as the structural changes currently occurring at the heart of the aerospace industry, such as the everincreasing preference of OEMs for integrators. These are changes that highlight their aim to streamline the number of suppliers and assembly time in order to improve performance on economic, ecological and social terms.
Throughout the Summit, which was chaired by Janice L. Davis, Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer of Bombardier Aerospace, supply chain management specialists from the four corners of the earth flocked to Montreal to discuss the different issues at hand.
The Summit offered a variety of activities over two days, including activities geared towards SMEs.
September 27:
- The first day was dedicated to issues related to sustainable development with regards to supply and to the impact that regulations have on your activities.
- A networking cocktail took place for all participants.
September 28:
- The second day was dedicated to the development of markets for the defence sector.
B2B meetings:
On both days, participants had the unique occasion to take part in B2B meetings with OEMs in both the commercial and defence sectors.
